“What the **** is that?” Nope, I’m not proud of my initial response to the picture prompt in my Facebook fiction writer’s group. I don’t usually attempt any of the challenge prompts; I much prefer to slave over my work-in-progress and bang my head on the desk. It must have been the whole end-of-year revelry vibe that made me think it was a good idea to STOP and look around. From his booster seat Cooper spots the bright colors of his favorite play equipment and his arms and legs go into overdrive. They wave and shake in a dance of toddler joy. The car stops and he waits, wiggling and complaining for almost two whole minutes while Mum gathers the goodies for their picnic.
